Mission Statement

Education is a right, and to educate all students to their greatest capability is our mission.

Beliefs:

  • A positive school climate is essential.
  • Students learn at different rates and styles and all should be challenged to their potential.
  • A sequential relevant curriculum is essential and should be supported by resources, facilities and scheduling.
  • Students should be actively involved in their education and practice responsibility.
  • Staff and students must be provided continuous feedback based on frequent assessments and be positively recognized for achievements.
  • We should provide opportunities which meet the needs of each child.
  • Effective classroom practices should maximize student time on task.
  • Schools, parents and community must promote and reinforce excellence and pride in self, school, and community achievements.
  • Staff development should be relevant and ongoing.
  • Education is a shared responsibility among  parents, students, school staff,  community and the Board of Education.
  • Education helps prepare students to become well adjusted, productive members of society.
