Full Instructions Step #1 Draw your initials in block letters on the back cover of the sketchbook. Make sure that the letters are at least 4 inches tall and 3/4 of an inch thick. Use pencil and draw very lightly. These lines will be erased later.
Step #2 Draw 10-14 vertical lines. Space the lines out so that they cover the width of the sketchbook cover. The line can be straight or wavy. Draw right through the letters. Again, use pencil and draw very lightly. These lines will be erased later.
Step #3 Draw 8-11 horizontal lines. Space the lines out so that they cover the width of the sketchbook cover. The line can be straight or wavy. Draw right through the letters. Again, use pencil and draw very lightly. These lines will be erased later.
Step #4 Start to color each of the small sections that were created by the lines and the block letters.
To make the letters contrast, use a different color scheme in the letters. For example: Use warm colors for the letters and cool colors for the background.
Don't use the same color in adjacent sections.( A color can't be used right next to the same color.)
Make sure that all colors are opaque, the lines between the sections are sharp and clean, and the sections are completely filled in.
