Calendar Issues

For school wide events, please consult the calendar in the Appendix or the web site Calendar for dates of interest to faculty and staff.  This includes holidays, scheduled assemblies, special bell schedule days, and deadlines for reporting grades.

In addition, the Student/Parent Handbook includes college admissions testing dates for the ACT and SAT tests.

For scheduling events, generally, club sponsors will have after-school meetings in their classrooms.  There is no need to clear these events with the administration as long as the club is a recognized school club and there is no conflict with a faculty meeting.

Events that occur in the evening, or which use areas beyond the teacher’s classroom need to be placed on the School Calendar.  A form for this purpose is available from the Student Affairs Office.  This is due the day after Labor Day.  In particular, all events requiring administrative presence should be turned in by this date.  Forms can be turned in later, but the room or date may already be taken.
