Part II Chapter 10: |
|
Students are not to use these during the instructional day (7:30 – 2:15). Teachers are asked not to allow these to be out or used in class. Such devices are subject to confiscation. As an alternative, a teacher may confiscate the batteries and headphones. Regardless of whether the teacher confiscates the whole unit, or just the parts, the teacher should clearly indicate where the student is to pick up the item(s). If the teacher intends to turn it in to the office, the teacher should label the owner’s name and specifically give it to an office assistant or assistant principal in the Student Affairs Office, recalling to whom it was given. Do not “leave it” on a desk, or send it up with a student assistant. |
