Part II Chapter 11:
Hats and Offensive T-Shirts

Hats, caps, sunglasses, picks, combs, headbands, and bandanas are not to be worn inside the building. Exceptions are allowed during spirit week or at other times of the year as long as the hat worn has no gang symbolism, or is otherwise un-offensive.

Clothing articles with logos that promote cigarette, drug, or alcohol use are not to be worn by students. There is a degree of judgment that needs to be applied in cases such as “Virginia Slims Tennis”, which are souvenirs from a sporting event. Students with such clothing that cannot be removed or covered over and repeat offenders should be sent to the Student Affairs Office for a determination. Students must also wear sleeved shirts that allow shoulders and midriff to be covered.
