Part III Chapter 7:
Failure for the Semester

A student can fail a test, a quarter, or the semester.  When they fail a quarter or a test, they can still pass for the semester (earning credit for the course) if their overall average is passing.  When a student fails for the semester, they earn no credit for the entire semester.  Because of the severity of this, it is expected that parents receive clear and timely notice so that we can enlist their support.  The following table lists the various situations and indicates the expectations for notifying parents, and how the computer is notified of the failure for the semester. (See Appendix A)
