Driver’s Education Requirements |
|
State law requires that a student pass eight
semester courses in the year prior to taking drivers education. This
applies to public schools, summer school, and private driving schools.
Students who do not pass eight semester classes as freshmen, or who did not
pass freshmen physical education/health will not be eligible to take drivers
education until they have passed eight classes in two consecutive semesters
and completed freshmen physical education/health. Students in this
situation will have their drivers education deferred until they have met the
eight-course rule. This would normally be the following summer or school
year. |
