Disciplinary Guidelines - Types of Discipline - In-School Detentions

An in school assignment consists of spending all or part of the school day in a special classroom. The student's classroom teachers provide assignments for the student to complete during time spent in the in-school room.

  • With the exception of a morning and afternoon break, students are required to remain seated, quiet, and working the entire day. Special arrangements will be made for lunch while a student is assigned to the in-school detention room

  • Students who do not cooperate in the in school detention and/or do not follow directions will be suspended from school and will not receive credit for the time spent in the in school detention room toward the out of school suspension time.
