Rules of design assignment

Create a poster for each of the eight rules of design.

 

 

Requirements:

8 1/2" x 11".

At least one image per poster. Scan or paste  a good example of the rule.

Use color.

The copy should be the text of the rule.

Make a headline.

Include a subhead line.

Repetition Helps Achieve Reader Movement

Rule #5 Unity can be created using repetition

 

 

 

 

Rule #5  Repetition helps to achieve reader movement from one element to the other. A circle, oval, triangle, etc. can be used several times in the layout to direct the reader's eye. The repeated element need not be the same size each time it is used. It can be smaller or larger, reversed, placed diagonally or printed in a different color.
