2006 SEASON - Ryan served as one of the top hitters at both the Freshmen and JV level in 2006 following a great career at BJHS.  Kern was also one of the top fielders for the Raider JV in '06.

2007 SEASON OUTLOOK - Another very promising left handed hitter, Ryan looks to put his stamp on the BHS baseball history pages.  Blessed with a very balanced and compact stroke, Ryan looks to make a serious push for DH and pinch hitting duties at the Varsity level in 2007.  Has the potential to be one of the all-time Raider greats.  Ryan will also play full-time with the JV.

2008 SEASON - Ryan came onto the varsity scene with a bang in 2008 helping lead the Raiders to the Metamora Regional Championship and a 27-10 record and berth in the Galesburg Sectional finals.  Ryan hit .313 with 4 HR and 19 RBI.  Kern scored 29 runs, had 29 hits, including 9 doubles.  Ryan also swiped 9 out of 10 bases and played stellar defensively at first base. 

2009 SEASON OUTLOOK - BHS is looking for big things out of the sweet swinging southpaw in his senior campaign..  The Raiders will look for Kern to be a key ingredient in the offensive attack and again to hold down first base duties.  Kernsy will also be looked upon to log big innings on the bump in '08.  Ryan looks to secure a baseball scholarship.
