2010 Season - Matt was the starting 2nd baseman for the Raider varsity in his sophomore campaign before an injury sidelined him for the majority of the season.  Matt hit .286 in limited action.

2011 Season Outlook - The Raiders are looking for big things from the talented junior in 2011.  MM has the ability to be one of the best players in the area. He can play both middle infield positions and may also see time in centerfield.  Mardis is an exceptional hitter who can hit for average and power.  Matt looks to provide a very reliable stick to the middle of the Purple offensive attack.  Mardis should see his name near the top of many area offensive categories.  Mardis will also see time on the mound.  Matt is also a member of the BHS basketball program.
