DECATUR -- Junior Erik Wilson ran for 111 yards and one touchdown as the Bloomington High School football team built a 28-0 advantage by halftime and crusied past Decatur Eisenhower, 35-6, in a Big 12 Conference game Friday night.

The win kept the Raiders, ranked No. 10 in Class 6A, in a tie with Normal Community for first place in the league at 7-1.

Bloomington, 7-1 overall, took the opening kickoff and marched 71 yards in eight plays for a quick 7-0 lead. Brent Holtz connected with Dustin Kelly with a 17-yard scoring toss.

Wilson, who carried nine times in the first half for 91 yards, scored on a 16-yard run in the second quarter to give the Raiders a 21-0 advantage. The Raiders tacked on a Chris Jameson 5-yard scoring run for a 28-0 lead heading into the locker room at halftime.

Holtz, who did not complete a pass in the second half, completed four of five passes in the first half for 75 yards.

Bloomington had the ball all of 10 seconds for the entire third quarter as Decatur Eisenhower played ball control for 11:50 of the period. But it was the Raiders who reached the end zone.

Josh Mitchell intercepted a Decatur Eisenhower pass and returned the ball 41 yards to the Eisenhower 39-yard line. One play later, Valshun Powe scampered 39 yards for the touchdown and a 35-0 lead.

Powe finished with 58 yards rushing on four carries. Jameson added 59 yards on the ground for the Raiders.

The lone score for Decatur Eisenhower (1-7, 1-7) came in the final period on a 1-yard run by Darius White, which capped a 99-yard drive. The march started as a result of a Bloomington fumble at the Eisenhower 1-yard line.

The Raiders lost two fumbles in the contest.
