BHS (3-4) trailed 15-8 after the opening quarter and 22-13 at halftime. The Raiders tried to rally with a 22-point final period, but were unable to overcome the deficit.

“We dug ourselves to big a hole,” BHS coach Sondra Sisson said. “I was proud of our defensive effort, but we have to learn to play the up-tempo pressure defense without picking up fouls.”

Kendra Gay added 11 points for BHS, which committed only 12 turnovers. Amanda Hainlen collected a team-high seven rebounds for the Raiders.

Morton (4-2) was led by Jaimie Buckman’s 17 points.
