Pick 3 Raffle

In 2004, we organized the first annual District 87 Softball Pick 3 Raffle.  We sold 208 tickets in 2004, and we had 68 winners.  Several people won twice, and one person won three times.  So far in 2005, we have sold 224 tickets.  One thousand tickets, numbered 000-999 are printed.  Each ticket sells for $25.00.  The person purchasing that ticket has that number in play every day from January 1 through December 31, 2005.  That means a person can win multiple times.  

The daily raffle ticket winner is determined by the daily evening Pick Three winning numbers, announced at 9 PM on WGN-TV.  A check for $25.00 is sent to the winner each time a winning number is drawn, along with a reminder of our appreciation. 

The money we raise through the Pick Three Raffle and/or other fundraising efforts over the next few years will be used for long-term projects that will enhance our program.  We want to make major improvements to our facilities, including new dugouts, an enclosed building for our batting cages, and a building to house a weight room, a locker room, press box, concessions, and storage.  We also want to move or replace our backstop and add extended foul poles.  Eventually we would like to add lights.  These improvements will be made over a period of several years. 

In order to accomplish our goals, we need to enlist the assistance of all the friends and supporters of the District 87 Softball Program in selling all 1000 tickets for the 2005 campaign.
