The Bloomington Academy is designed for 9th
through 11th grade students to enhance their academic process.
The program is organized around building relationships in a smaller
classroom setting and an interdisciplinary approach. Students are
block scheduled during the school day and work with the same team of
teachers from year to year in four subject areas: English, Math,
Social Studies, and Business/Applied Technology.
The focus of the Bloomington Academy is combining the academic rigor of the
core subject areas of English, Math, Social Studies and Business with
technology integration. All Bloomington Academy
classes are taught at grade level for adequate college preparation.
Increased student achievement is developed through parental
involvement, standardized test preparation, incentives, and individualized
attention. Enrollment in the Bloomington Academy
is based on past academic performance, positive behavior, and an application
process that is evaluated every semester.
