Two down and two to go!

Zach and Maggie reflecting on the performance Grace and Amanda happy with the performance.  Is that Tyler and Michael F-B happy as well?

Is that Frances acting?  And here we thought she was part of the techies the whole time!!!!

Hello home.

We now have two shows under our belt. The lights were better and the guns fired most of the time--on the killing of Abe for one--so we were all relieved. The kids were a riot on the Royal Mile--tramping around and selling the show. I think it did more for them than it did to sell the show. They loved every minute. Trouble is Harry lost his hat on the bus and everyone told him I would "kill" him. So he worried himself sick and now he has a mouth full of fever blisters. All I did was ask if he got a replacement hat. We had brought an extra. Where do they get this? Boy do I have them fooled!

We experienced real Scottish weather today as the kids got totally soaked in the Highlands. We visited Stirling Castle. Our guide did a great job of updating us on the real stories of William Wallace and Rob Roy. The kids once again surprised me and got into the spirit of the castle.

I love reading the letter from all of you. It is fun to see the kids and parent perspective. Everyone is so happy--makes my job easier!

I need to close--rushing to get my fifteen minutes in so I am sure mistakes abound--but I want to share this:

Most tears shed: Micheal C. on the fact that the BHS Band will never march like the regiments at the Tattoo
Never on time: Dee Thompson--a chaperone and not a kid!
Best T-shirt: "I'm a wee little monster" with a picture of the Loch Ness Monster --Shaina

Our love to all of you at home! I promise to make them come home!

Susan

Heard from ... this morning. Last call she was homesick...this time she wants to live there and is already planning a trip back. She loves the town, "everything is beautiful" and the people are really friendly. She said the hill behind the town is like something straight out of Braveheart. Meeting lots of kids from other places. Planning to do lots of shopping this week. Sounds like they are having a wonderful time. She said they are having problems with phone cards so it's a hassle to call, plus the shortage of phones. I told her to call in the middle of the night if she had to.
