April Testing

On April 28th and 29th, seniors are excused from classes while freshmen, sophomore and junior students are testing,

Juniors will be taking the Prairie State Achievement Exam (PSAE).  This is a two day exam.  The first day of testing is an ACT test covering english, math, reading and science as well as thirty minute writing test with a single prompt question.  The second day of testing is the WorkKeys assessment which is applied math and reading for comprehension.  The Prairie State Exam is required for graduations.

Sophomores will be given a practice ACT on the first day of testing.  This will also include the writing sample.  The second day will cover local assessments in the areas or reading, math and social science.

Freshmen will take the SAT 10 test on the first day of testing.  This includes reading, math, spelling, language, science and social studies.  The second day will cover other assessments measuring vocabulary, comprehension, writing and social studies

Seniors Apply to Colleges

Seniors!  Please try to have your college applications in for mailing two weeks prior to the applications deadline.  This will provide time for transcript release and counselor recomendations. 

Senior Parents - As scholarship information becomes available, it is immediately posted on the BHS (Guidance) website.  If you would like to receive notification of these by email, please contact Mrs. Woith (our secretary) and she will add you to our contact list. woithd@district87.org
