| Car Applets |
The links below will take you to our first applet project. The Graphics class contains a variety of methods for drawing - including methods to draw lines, text and images (in .GIF, .JPG and .PNG format), as well as draw or fill rectangles, ovals, and polygons. The goal of this project was to use the Graphics class to create a still drawing that looks like a car driving on a road, and to place the image of the student (when available) as the driver.
If you get a message to click on the applet to activate it, that message is from the security system of your computer and is not part of the applet. Your security system just wants you to verify that you intended to view this applet. It won't actually make anything in the applet move. Animation comes later on in the course.
All of these Applets require Java 6. You can download the latest version of Java here. It is FREE!
