General Absence Information

English:
When you are absent, check the website for specific assignments. If it is a writing day, you can work on the writing at home. If the homework is a grammar worksheet, you will need to get that from me when you return, and I can check out a textbook to you so you can review the missed lesson.  You can always email me for clarification at galluccid@district87.org.

History:
Students who are absent should be able to work on their EW Spiral and other ongoing assignments such as the Scene Seen, Field Report, STTA, etc. as needed.  General information, as well as an audio description, for these and other assignments can be located through the U.S. History Homepage at
www.district87.org/staff/wetzelw if you need assistance or more information.

Math:
Daily assignments and materials needed to complete missed assignments can be found at: Moodle. Follow the appropriate link – Algebra, Algebra Part 1 or Pre-Algebra. Students need their district login (lunch number) and their password to gain access to Moodle. All students have been instructed on how to access Moodle. My email is hallk@district87.org if you need assistance or clarification on an assignment.

Reading:
Students who are absent should check the class website. The class syllabus will give the student a general knowledge of the material for that month. It will also provide the student with the words of the week and the essential words they need to know. If they miss a word of the week (passed out the first day of the week) they can print out a copy of the word of the week from this site and add it to their booklet. Under Reading Strategies and Other Helpful Tools students will find the Build Your Vocabulary they need to write in their spiral every day. An absent student should check with me the morning of their return regarding any other material they might have missed and/or to set up a time to complete missing work.

Science:
Students who are absent should check the class website for specific assignments. You may have a study guide worksheet for which you will need your textbook or use the on-line text.  Check with Mr. Omahana regarding other activities (i.e. labs, videos, notes, tests, etc.)
