8B Academic Integrity
8B has an academic integrity policy to encourage honesty in
student work and to prevent students from gaining an unfair
advantage as a result of academically dishonest acts. Academic
Dishonesty includes the following:
• Unauthorized sharing of answers on assignments and
tests.
• Unauthorized possession and/or use of resources:
notes, cheat sheets, websites, other sources of
information, calculators, etc. while completing an
assignment or test.
• Unaccredited use of the words of someone else
(plagiarism)
If you are involved in an academically dishonest
situation, you will be disqualified from the
quarterly PRT and we will notify our administrator
of the incident.
If you are not sure whether an action is going to be
a violation of this policy, you must check with a
teacher before taking the action. Once the act has
occurred, you will no longer have an opportunity to
avoid a violation by seeking clarification or
protesting ignorance.
