Review:

These two books are great. Dave is tortured by his mom because 
she is drunk and crazy. She doesn't feed him at all so he is 
forced to steal food from his school and then he gets in more 
trouble. he sleeps in an army cot in the freezing cold basement 
and he has to clean the whole house in a certain amount of time. 
He gets put in the bathroom with a bad smelling aroma and that 
killed someone. This is a true story. He is beaten severely but 
he stays alive and survives and gets a new home but is in foster 
care and moves from home to home. I really recommend these books.
