Students Involved in Technology (S.I.T.) Conference
February 14, 2009 - Heartland Community College, Normal, Illinois.
The Students Involved with Technology (or SIT) Conference is an annual conference that provides students in grades 3-12 from throughout Central Illinois opportunities to learn and share their technology expertise with others. Sessions at this conference are presented by and for students in grades 3-12.
Fifteen groups of students from this class prepared and presented a wide variety of technology topics:

Nancy Drew Mystery, Rocking with GarageBand, Sky High to Google Earth, Goodreads.com, Moviemaking for Dummies, Google Sketchup for Future Designers, Sprite Mixing for Beginners, Press Play on your iTunes Adventure, iTouch the Future, Web Design with HTML and Javascript, What in the World is PopFly, Trickin' out your Youtube Profile, MagicPoint - using the Wii to make an Interactive Whiteboard, Fone Features, Be Your Guitar Hero.

TECH 2009 Conference
April 30, 2009 - Springfield, Illinois
Since 1990, students and teachers have set up demonstration tables at the Capitol building in Springfield, Illinois to show elected officials, business leaders, and the general public how technology is being used in schools. TECH 2009 is a not-for-profit initiative supported by a broad range of education and business organizations. Its purpose is two-fold: 1) to raise awareness of the critical role technology plays in preparing students to succeed in today’s world; and 2) to show the need for increased funding for classroom technology.
