Viewing Photos and Videos from the Internet

If you have a dial-up connection, the photos and especially the videos will load VERY VERY slowly. The majority of the videos are .mpg or windows media files (.wmv), which Windows Media Player should play without problems.
Windows Media Player is a free download, available at the Microsoft website.
Some large videos can take up to 15-20 minutes or longer to download on a dial-up connection. My recommendation to dial-up users - don't do it this way; save it as a file to your computer and then view the video. Here's how to do this:

PC users - Save it to your computer by clicking the right mouse button (called "right click") and choose "Save As" or "Save Target As". (For a video, right click on the hyperlink for the video. For a photo, click on the picture first to bring up the enlarged version, then right click on that to save that photo.)

This will bring up a window where you will choose where you want to save it, then click Save.

When you view a video or picture that was saved on your computer, it will load much faster, the video will run smoother, and if you want to view it more than once you won't have to download it every time.

Mac users - To save photos and videos do the same as above, but click and hold the mouse button to bring up a window and choose "Download to disk" which is the same as the "Save As" option for pc users.

Remember where you saved the photo or video. It is a good idea to create a new folder on your desktop to save photos and videos, if you plan to do this on a regular basis. (Click on the right mouse button on an empty area of your desktop, which will bring up a window with a choice of New Folder.)  This is an especially good technique if you would like to burn your saved photos and videos to a cd or dvd, as you will have them all saved to one location.
