Coaching
In his first year as head coach at
Bloomington, the Knights won the 2008 IESA State Championship along
with the regional and sectional championship. They also
claimed titles at the BJHS Inivtational, Channahon Invitational,
Chatham Invitational, LeRoy Invitational, and Mahomet Invitational.Coach Mosier begins his 2nd
year as a head coach and his 3rd year overall. He was
the head coach at PORTA for one year where the team enjoyed their
most successful season ever by finishing with an undefeated record
of 16-0. That year they also captured the regional and sectional
crowns becoming the smallest school to do so with about 200 kids in
the entire junior high. In 2005 he was an assistant to future Hall
of Fame coach Gary Cook at Argenta-Oreana after graduating from
Millikin University.
College:
Coach Mosier was a four year
varsity wrestler for Millikin University from 2000-2004. During his
career Mosier captured the 2004 Private School National Championship
at 174lbs becoming the first unranked wrestler to do so in
tournament history. This also helped propel Millikin to its first
Private School Championship as a team in 2004. He also won the
2004 CCIW conference regular season championship with an undefeated
dual meet record and was the 2004 CCIW tournament runner-up. Coach
Mosier holds the 174lb all-time career wins mark at Millikin. He was
also
a part of the schools most dominant four year wrestling class that
finished nationally ranked in 2003 and 2004 while shattering all
school records.
Personal:
Coach Mosier lives in Bloomington
with his wife Sarah who is a pre-school teacher at Katie’s Kids
Learning Center.
