Contrary to a growing urban myth, a majority of new students are not coming from within the City of Chicago, but rather from Unit 5, other Illinois' school districts and from out of state. Only 60 students from the City of Chicago enrolled in District 87 schools last semester. They are spread throughout each of our six elementary schools, BJHS and BHS.

New/transfer students from August 2004 to January 18, 2005:
