United Way at work in District 87 Of the 29 agencies receiving funding by our local United Way office, 21 are at work each day in our schools helping our students and their families. Last year, 421 employees of District 87 benefitted from services funded by the United Way. By contrast, however, only 147 employees donated in last year's campaign. If each staff member who did not donate last year were to give just $1.00 per paycheck this year, an additional $12,000 could be raised to help our staff and our students and their families.
