Assessment Information

Learning Strengths Inventory I - This learning styles inventory includes information about each learning style (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) and strategies that students can use.  This inventory is appropriate for older students (high school).

Learning Styles Inventory II - This is a short learning style inventory.

 

Templates

Think Tac Toe - This is a template for a choice board.  Fill the boxes with assignments or projects.  Students must complete three assignments to make tic tac toe.

Who Am I? First Day Assignment - Do you give homework on the first day?  This assignment is a good way to get preliminary information about each student.

Sample Parent Letter About Differentiated Instruction - This is a sample letter that can be used to inform parents about the differentiated instruction practices you will be using in the classroom.

DI Planning Document

Making It Happen Team Planning - This document provides a list of specific tasks teachers can do as they move toward differentiated instruction.  The list is leveled for those who are beginners with DI, those who have tried it before and those who are proficient.  Individuals can choose one or more items from this list to use as professional goals.

DI Instructional Foci - This is a template that can be used for classroom visits or walkthroughs.  It can also be shared with teachers as a way to identify important aspects of differentiated instruction.
