Lincoln School was built in 1895 at a cost of about $18,000. Originally named The Number Seven School (after its City Ward), it was later renamed Lincoln School in honor of President Abraham Lincoln. This building was replaced in 1935. It was located on the corner of Miller and Koch Streets.
