The 1906 AEgis, contained 202 pages of text and 45 pages of advertisements. The yearbook contained no photos of students, rather historical reviews of the district and high school from alumni and administrators and rememberances from former BHS students.
Pictured on the cover was an illustrated drawing of the Class of 1864 – the first BHS graduating class. Members included Lucrecia Billings and Sarah Flagg.
BHS' first published yearbooks were actually in the form of small magazines, published once a month. BHS began publishing the AEgis annually in 1911.
