

This course is designed for the student who has had little or no background in biology. It is a one year course that is taught in separate, yet related teaching units. No one area is stressed more than any other area.

Each learning unit will consist of a vocabulary assignment, lecture notes, at least 2 homework assignments, at least one laboratory activity and a test. Students are strongly urged to read the appropriate sections in the text that will be included along with lecture notes, homework assignments, and labs on the test for each unit.
Biology fulfills 1 of the BHS 3 year science requirement plus 1 of the college entrance requirements for 3 years of laboratory science.
