Pictured above is the brand new Sheridan Shark climbing wall. The mats are hanging up in order to protect the wall and to prevent unattended climber from getting on the wall.

Pictured above is the climbing wall with the mats down on the ground for protection. The climbing wall at Sheridan is built for horizontal climbing not vertically. The 2'' thick mats provide a soft landing for students if they lose their grip or fall. The red safety line notifys students that their feet must stay below that line.

Pictured above are three 3rd graders working their way across the wall. The climbing wall helps develop upper body strength, coordination, and helps them work on manipulative skills. The goal of the climbing wall is to expose our students to exciting new activities as well as to help increase their upper body strength.
