Poster Design

Directions: Design two posters. One black and white and one color. Both using the topic of AIDS AWARENESS. Come up with a slogan or title that goes with a picture of your choosing.

This project represents a typical poster design. Posters generally have a very very large dominant element and a very large size font with the headline or title. The remaining information is very small by comparison. Posters are generally printed in a large size. Ours are on standard US letter size. (8 1/2 by 11) You may format your design portrait or landscape.

Grading: 40 points total. (20 points for each poster) Here are the grading criteria.

1. Is the dominant element bold and attention getting?
2. Does the design "flow" from one element to the next?
3. Is type appropriately "prioritized"
4. Is the use of color appropriate?
