Directions:
Create a 4 page comic book using the following applications
- Photo Booth-to take
pictures using COMIC effect
- Photoshop-to convert
pictures to a "comic book dot" effect
- Comic Life- to assemble
your pages
- In Design-to assemble
your book
Steps:
- Take pictures using a digital camera
- Download this ACTION and double click on it to install it into photoshop
- Convert pictures to "comic effect" using photoshop
- Open picture in photoshop
- If the picture is a .gif, you must do the following step first. Image>mode>RGB
- Image>adjustments>posterize (4 colors)
- Filter>Pixelate>color halftone (settings for color halftone
should be 45° for all four angles. Pixel size will vary, but will
be somewhere in the range between 4 and 15)
- Drag pictures into COMIC LIFE to make your story
- Print book and staple together

can be any full-size picture
- Roughly 1/3 of your
pictures should be taken with the camera, 1/3 photo booth, and 1/3 from
the internet or clipart.com
- You can work in groups taking pictures and creating a story, but each
student must create his own layout (book)
