Poster for an event

Objective: For this assignment you will design a poster for an event such as a concert, movie, or exhibition. Most posters are meant to be printed large, so you need to consider this fact when you do your design. Type should be large and visible from several feet away.

Steps:

    1. Create original artwork using Illustrator, Photoshop or both. Art should be hip, cool, edgy, different and appeal to 15 to 25 year olds.
    2. Type. You need large, medium and small type. The large type may be 5 or 6 inches tall, but needs to be visible from a distance. The small type should be in the range of 20 to 48 points in size.
    3. Check your design for flow. Where does your eye look at first? Where does it look second and so on.
    4. Include who, what, where and when. You need to have all important information about the concert. Where it's at when it takes place, names of back up bands. Use spell check.
