Video box re-design

Directions: Design and assemble a box that would hold a video cassette.

This project represent a typical package design.

Steps:

1. Obtain a video box from home or library. Make sure you can use the box for the duration of the time necessary to complete the project.
2. Re-design the box using all of the information that is on the original.
3. Design new titles, graphics and photos.
4. Scan logos that are on the box and import them on to your layout. Or find them on the internet.
5. All type that appears on the original must be reproduced on your box.
6. There is a template for this assignment on the g-art saver. Copy it to your section folder.

 

Grading: 30 points total

 

1. Do design elements line up correctly with other elements? (5 pts.)
2. Are elements balanced on page? (5 pts.)
3. Are elements arranged so that readers eye moves around the page? (5 pts.)
4. Is the resolution adequate? (5 pts.)
5. Is your type prioritized? (Are the most important things bigger than the least important things?) (5 pts.)
6. Have you been consistent in your use of type? (5 pts.)
