Part one (walkin' and talkin')

As a group you will need to...

• Shoot the necessary video
• Use a tripod avoid hand-held shakes
• Shoot the conversation twice. Once from the view point of each actor

As an individual you will need to...

• download the video
• edit the video

 

Entering the building- The action should show an actor entering the building, walking down the hall and entering the room. This action needs to be shown in at least 8 to 10 edits.
Then, film two actors having a two-minute conversation that shows the actors faces looking into the camera as the conversation ensues. As the director it is your job to try and elicit emotion from your actors. All the people in your group need to download the same footage onto their own computer and then edit it separately.

As a group

• Shoot the necessary video. Use a tripod!!!
• group option - If you want to do the entire project as a group, you need to lengthen it and make it more challenging. If you want to do this, you need to discuss your script idea with me.

As an individual

• download the video
• edit the video
• write the script

Your project must contain

• action sequence
• music that enhances the mood of the varioius scenes
• While I don't want you to count how many edits you have, you shoul have enough to tell the story (roughly 25 to 30)

Write a short script for a 5-minute video. The script needs to have both dialog and descriptions of actions within it. The script needs to have at least one action sequence without no or minimal dialog. Tell the story by what the people are doing. Choose a particular type of music to enhance the mood of the action scene. You will need to form a group to do this part of the project. Your group will then need to shoot the scenes in the script. Each person in the group needs to download the footage onto their computers and edit the scene together in final cut express.
