House assignement          

Your house needs to include the following

  • 4 Rooms-living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms
  • front door and back door
  • Doors into each room
  • One arched door
  • 2 windows in each room
  • Carpet, colored walls
  • 10 components inside the house (tables, sofas, pictures on the wall etc.)
  • Outside
    • Build a garage with a driveway. Put a car on the driveway
    • sidewalk in the front of the house
    • One tree
    • A swing set for the kids
    • One person standing in the yard

Follow these steps

  1. Make a new folder in your H drive called sketchup. Save all of your sketchup files in this folder.
  2. As you work in Sketchup you will need to save images of your drawings so I can grade them. When you are finished with a drawing pull down the file menu and go to export>2D Graphic. Save all of your graphics in your source folder.
  3. Each time you save like this name the file with two zeros in front of the name (00 chair, 00 L shape) This will make sure the files are at the beginning of you projects page when you run the web photo album.

Assignment 1 - Click on the link above and watch the Part 1 Concepts training videos. Draw an L-shaped plane. Rotate the view in sketch up as shown below and then export and save the file in the source folder name it 00Lshape
