Snowflake gifts

Draw a rounded rectangle - 10 wide 8 tall.

Draw the shape below

This shows the size and position of the shape.

Using the option-drag method, copy the shape into the areas show below. Using the reflect tool, flip about one half of the shapes.

draw a rectangle in the area shown and rotate it a few degrees.

Draw the top of the package using the pen tool. Color it a darker purple.

Draw the left side of the box and color a darker purple than the top.

Decorate the box with white stars. Group the sides and stars together.

using the pen tool, draw the ribbon using a pink fill. make each color of pink a little darker to match the side of the box it is on.

Draw the top ribbon in a darker pink.

To make this ribbon shape using the pen tool:

1. draw the outside path of the ribbon
2. draw the inside shape of the ribbon
3. select both shapes
4. use the subtract from shape area button on the pathfinder pallette

Group all the parts of the box together and position it as seen below.

Option drag the gift to the next location. Using the white arrow (direct selection tool) change the color of the sides of the box to 3 different colors of pink. Also, flip the box using the reflect tool.

Copy your snowflake you drew in class, and paste it into the area shown.
