X-Mas Tree

Draw the tree shape below. Go to the effect menu>distort>roughen

set the following options

Draw the object below, use the same roughen settings. Copy the shape, lighter green fill, and then do it again for 3 colors of green.

Drag the shape into the brushes pallette.

Change the colorization method as shown below.

Draw several lines and apply the brush.

Make the ornaments below by drawing a large dark colored circle and then a smaller lighter colored circle on top. Then use the blend tool to make it look shaded. Copy several ornaments and send some behind the branches.

Draw the shape below. Very very small because they will be the lights. Drag all three shapes into the brushes pallette and use the settings shown below.

Draw more lines over the tree, and apply the new brush. Place the tree on a dark background. Add a tree trunk. Add some type such as "Happy Holidays" or "Have a Rockin' Kwanza" or "Happy Chrismahanakwanzika!"
