CURRENT ASSIGNMENTS

Weeks of November 30th - December 11th.

*IMC Scholastic Book Fair is this week!!  Students will preview the books on Monday and will be able to make purchases starting 12/1.  All proceeds from the book fair help purchase more books for the library.

*Tuesday and Wednesday in class we will focus on test preparation.  We will complete lessons 1 and 2 of the CARS Series (Comprehensive Assessment of Reading Strategies).  These activities focus on the 12 main types of comprehension questions.  The skills associated with these questions will be focused on and modeled as we complete the lessons.

*In our text we will read A Retrieved Reformation on Thursday and Friday.  This story selection by O'Henry will focus on the skill of questioning techniques.

*A worksheet on this story will be due on Friday, Dec. 4th.

*Text selections the week of Dec. 7th-11 will include The Day I Got Lost, Gentleman of Rio En Medio, and The Ninny/Governess .  Specific assignments will be added next week.

*The next vocabulary quiz will be on Friday, December 4th.

*Quarter 2 book reports/projects are due December 22nd.  The novel selections for second quarter are mystery/suspense and biography/autobiography.
