Miss Didway's Classroom

Welcome!

Miss Didway

This year marks my second year of teaching on the 8H team at Bloomington Junior High School. I teach one class of reading and two classes each of algebra and physical science. From Illinois State University, I graduated in the spring of 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in special education. My hometown is Galesburg, Illinois: home of the Silver Streaks.

Whenever I find some free time, I like to spend it outside as much as possible. I also enjoy working out at the gym, experimenting in the kitchen (cooking), shopping, and visiting friends and family wherever they may be. My favorite season is fall because of the changing colors and cooler temperature. Because of fall, I always look forward to the start of a new school year!

Miss Shay

Miss Shay is excited to start her second year as a Program Assistant in Miss Didway's instructional classroom.  She has been living in the Bloomington/Normal area for over 8 years and has graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in English.  Currently, Miss Shay is working towards getting her library technology certification.  Moreover, she works two other jobs when she is not at the junior high school.  In the limited amount of free time that she has, Miss Shay enjoys reading and cross-stitching.  Miss Shay is eager to meet her new students!
