Hi, my name is Bev Edwards. I have been teaching for 30 years, with most of the time in Second Grade at Oakland School.

I graduated from Illinois State University in 1975 with my undergraduate degree and completed my Masters Degree in 1996.

Originally, I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and have lived in Bloomington since graduating. As long as I could remember I have always wanted to be a teacher.

I have many interests which keep me busy. I enjoy golfing, crafting and reading just to name a few. I enjoy my very gorgeous 6 year old Sheltie dog, Ebony. I usually have a good story to share about her!

When I have spare time, I enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures and countries. Everyplace I visit becomes a new favorite of mine.

I look forward to another fabulous year and meeting many of you!

Spelling Tests are on Thursday.

The new list is sent home for the following week on Friday. As part of weekly homework, please have your child use each spelling word in a sentence on lined paper to be turned in on or before the test on Thursday (14 sentences). The words are usually from a phonetic skill taught that week in our reading book.

You can check this site for the weekly words if your list is misplaced.
