My name is Mrs.
Eggleston, and I
have been
Washington
School's music
specialist for
28 years. My
husband is a
Professor of
Music at
Illinois
Wesleyan
University. We
have two
daughters and
one son-in-law
who all live in
Texas: Sarah,
who teaches 2nd
grade;
Elizabeth, a
professional
violinist, and
Geoff, who is a
middle school
band director.
Our
granddaughter,
Natalie
Elizabeth,
turned one year
old this summer.
"Music washes
from the soul
the dust of
everyday life"
- Red Auerbach

"The fact that
children make
beautiful music
is less
important than
the fact that
music makes
children
beautiful"

MUSIC MISSION STATEMENT
My mission is not only to teach children about music, but also to help children develop a love and appreciation of music. We sing, move, play instruments, create and perform. We learn about instruments, the music of great composers, and about the tools that we need to become musicians ourselves.
