All About Me

This is my 32nd year as a teacher at Irving School in the Bloomington District #87.  Currently I am a "looping" teacher, which means that I teach 1st Grade one year and then keep those students and become their 2nd Grade teacher. During my years of teaching, I also taught Kindergarten, Reading RecoveryŽ, and Title I Reading for K-3.

I grew up in Mackinaw, Illinois and am a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University. My husband and I live in Bloomington with our daughter and son. My husband owns his own business and sells used truck tires. My daughter is a senior at Illinois State University and my son is at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

I love to travel, go out for dinner, and play golf. I especially love being outside in the sun and in the water! I am also going to school again working on my Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. Learning is so much fun!
