HOW CAN I HELP?
-
Stress the importance of the
nightly homework. All assignments
are posted at
Moodle.
Students have been instructed on how to access
Moodle. (Modular-Object-Oriented Learning Environment) Your child can
show you how to access the site (they sign in with their email address
and password). If you would like to have guest access to Moodle, please
go
here. With guest access, and you can view the course assignments
and a lot of helpful information.
-
Remind your student to show all
work/steps.
-
Check to make sure your child has
completed/attempted ALL of the
assignment.
-
Help guide your child as he/she
learns to set priorities.
-
Remind your child that math is
weightlifting for the brain. The struggles that he/she may
experience this year will strengthen
their mind. Success in math correlated highly with success in
higher education.
-
Call or
e-mail me
RIGHT AWAY if
you are concerned - early intervention is always the best course of action.
-
Take time to read the
Illinois Learning
Standards for mathematics.
Your child is expected to be successful with the goals.
-
Contact
technology and get an account that will enable you to check your
students grades online.
