This year in science we will explore the following units:

Life Science
     In this unit we will be talking about plants and how they grow.  We will also discuss how animals live.  We will then tie the two together and study where plants and animals live and how they live together.

Earth Science
    In this unit we will be discussing different aspects of the earth.  We will discuss different types of rocks and soil.  We will talk about the changes on Earth including landforms, volcanoes, and the layers of the Earth.  We will then talk about natural resources and the different types.

Physical Science
     In this unit we will discuss the different types of energy and their uses and we will discuss sound and where it comes from and how it travels.

Space and Technology
     This unit covers many things.  We will start by discussing the stars and their placement in the sky.  We also cover the phases of the moon.  We will then talk about the solar system and the planets.  We talk about their properties and where they are in the solar system.  We talk about the difference between revolving and rotating.  Last, we cover science in our lives and the different ways we use science on a daily basis.
