 The Apple

by M. R., 1st hour English student

Man am I hungry.” I murmured to my self as I got up and stretched. I was thinking about what to eat, when I received a huge craving for an apple. So I grew an apple. But it grew and grew and grew. Finally it seized and was huge! At least the size if my three car garage. So I started to feast. I ate like I was a nut-staved squirrel that found a stash of nuts.

As I was devouring the apple I murmured “Wait, I have caramel.” So as I when down to my basement, to gather the three hundred fifty pound bag of caramel I stored away. I placed it in a kennel and warmed it for about half an hour and spread it on my apple. I started to eat again and noticed I missed the bus so I just kept gnawing at my apple.

By 12:45 I devoured most of the entire apple. I was about to finish it when Falcor came in and started to crank that soulja boy, and peed on the carpet. You!

My Story

by J.D., 11/20/08

Hi, this is Kyle and Reid Johnson.  Soul brothers!  Also were 14 years old.

We went to a new built house and this is what happened…….

We went to that house and I, Kyle, thought of what would happen if we actually went in.  Then I started daydreaming.  Come on lets go in!  We went from the backdoor.  It looked much deserted.  We checked around and all through the house.  Then we found the bathroom, so we went in and went to the bathroom and took a nice, hot shower.

Well I think the neighbors heard us because the next thing I know is they were at the door banging and knocking’, saying, ‘’Hey, This is the cops, open up!’’  We sprinted like cheetahs downstairs to the basement.  Then we heard this big boom.  I guess the cop got in and was coming downstairs now.  They found us and handcuffed us.  Then we went upstairs and we were about to go out the front door, but then the all the doors and walls.

‘’ All man were trapped! ”The flames got closer and then suddenly we all bursted in flames and died.  Sorry we interrupt this program.  We have just been informed that two kids named Kyle and Reid Johnson and about eight cops died from a terrible, ferocious fire accident.

 ‘’Kyle, Kyle, KYLE!’’

 ‘’What.’’

‘’Are we going in or what!’’

 ‘’NNaaaahhh!  Let’s just go home.’’

 "Oooo.kk.’’

We ran and ran the entire away home!  Also we went to another new house about three weeks later and that same dream came back again!

The Homework Thief

By L.H., 11/20/08

Omg! The homework thief stole my homework again! I cannot believe it, the first homework assignment of the quarter and it will be late! I worked so hard on it and now it is gone.  Math is so hard I do not know how I will catch up? And to top it off Mrs. Johnson really trusted me when I said it would not be late.

That mourning when I was awakened by my alarm clock, I tried to think of what I should say to her. Should I lie? Or should I tell the truth and take the consequence. “What will I do?” I thought to myself. What will she say to me? Most importantly, what will happen to me?

I finally arrived at school. I felt so anxious thinking about what would happen. I still have not decided what to do. Mrs. Johnson really trusted this time and I blew it.

As I walked down the hall to my locker everyone kept asking me if I finished the math homework, because they al did. When I said no everyone laughed, “How did you forget it?”

I replied, “I didn’t forget it, the homework thief took it.” Right when I announced that everyone started to laugh at me. So I said, “Don’t you guys know he’s real?”

After I put all my books away books away I slowly walked to her classroom. I decided that to tell her the truth. As I walked into the classroom Mrs. Johnson asked me, “Did you finish the homework assignment?”

After I told her about the homework thief, she believed me! She said that I wasn’t the first person it happened to. Also she added that it happened to her when she was my age. I felt so relieved when she didn’t yell me. She just suggested, “Keep better track of your homework and maybe that won’t happen again.”

I felt so much better when she told me it was okay. I will never let my homework be taken again. I will be sure to turn in everything when it’s due. Honestly, I don’t ever want to feel that scared again.

The Skateboarding Octupus of Turky-Chicken

 by T. I.

At a place, in a time, under the water was an octopus named Octopleasn-tide Jerold Bob Jr. the third. All his friends called him Inko, a derogatory word showing their despise. Though his family called him Jerb, as could you, and I.

One day Jerb decided to find a hobo… I mean a hobby. He found something alien at the shipyard.

“Hmmm. What’s this? “Jerb asked himself. “ Maybe. Nooo. It can’t.    Could it. It must be the LEGENDARY WHEELED BOARD of the surface dwellers! “Jerb explained loudly.

Then from out of the blue waters came Jerb’s only friend Bob’O McJoe the sea cucumber.

“How’s it going? “questioned Bob’O McJoe.

          “Appsaulutyly Fantabulous, “replied Jerb

“How so? “ Bob’O McJoe questioned to Jerb’s reply.

“I just discovered the legendary wheeled board of the surface dwellers !” Jerb replied with much enthusiasm.

          “Really,” shouted Bob’O McJoe.

          “Yah,” replied Jerb.

“Are you serious? “questioned Bob’O McJoe to Jerb’s reply.

          “Yup,” again replied Jerb.

“Are you sure your not pulling my incredibility dwarfed leg? “again questioned Bob’O McJoe.

“For the last time. Yes I’m sure,” replied Jerb with the last bit of patience he had.

“G! You didn’t have to shout,” was Bob’O McJoe’s final statement.

“Oh yah. I just remembered I dropped some money in that wood chipper,” said Jerb, “would you mine getting it for me.”

Bob’O McJoe nodded his head in delight.

“Opps! I accidentally turned it on,” said Jerb

ZZZIT, AG, blahg

          Bob’O McJoe was dead.

“Now what’s this thing do?” Jerb questioned himself ,” Maybe it can fly.”

Jerb went to a cliff jumped on the board, shot off the cliff, fell on his head, and died.

The Adventures with Death:  Mary’s Corner

 by M. S.

We stood in THE HOUSE. THE HOUSE that no one dared go into. Due to the rain, I ran in there, my only choice; well you could say storming with fierce winds and THE HOUSE was the only place not flooded.

I stayed with my friend Mary to have a sleepover when the basement started to flood and we heard the door slam, a car start, and then silence. We ran outside and it poured rain, the door shut behind us and her black cat jumped from a two story high window on to Mary’s shoulder. The doors of all the other houses stayed locked, all of them except for THE HOUSE. THE HOUSE that no one dared go into. As we ran to THE HOUSE my head felt like it wanted to lift off and go somewhere else but we didn’t have a choice.

The cat that was on Mary’s shoulder now was on mine. Mary had to drag me in otherwise I wouldn’t have been in THE HOUSE. It felt warm inside, dry too, and no water touched THE HOUSE. But, as I thought about all the nice things about THE HOUSE, the heat turned off, the rain hit the windows so hard that it looked like it would break, and the lightning flashed. I saw someone, something in the corner where no light could be shed.

“Mary? Mary, where are you?” I called out.

“I’m right here Lil’” she responded in a worried voice.

I wondered if she saw it too, “Did you see it?”

“What? No! What are you talking about?”

I turned to see her but she wasn’t there. “Mary?” I called. No response. I searched the whole room. Nothing but the stairs that looked so old that I could fall through, so she wouldn’t have gone up there. I turned to the corner and stared at it but then I felt a cold d hand on my shoulder. The cat wasn’t there either. I almost fainted when the hand touched me. It started breathing heavily down my neck.

It asked “Who is Mary?” I didn’t respond. It asked again “Who is Mary?” slightly louder and squeezed my shoulder.

I yelled “Let go!” It let go. I turned and there was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. She looked a lot like my friend.

All I could say was “M…ar…y?”

It answered “Who is Mary?” It or she cocked her head and her beady eyes stared at me in question.

“She is my friend, where is she and who are you?” I started to cry.

“She walked over to the corner and then disappeared,” she replied “After living in this house for 251 years, exactly today, I’ve never gone to that corner.” “Oh, and my name is Madam Mary.” I thought about what she just said for awhile. The women, young lady continued “I was your age having a sleepover with my friend Lily, I called her Lil’”

“Wait! That’s me!” I yelled franticly.

“I remember that, that corner was where I died,” she said like she was in pain.

As I thought I asked “Do you have rope?”

“Yah, it’s up stairs but I can’t grab it because my hands aren’t completely solid.”

I bolted for the stairs two at a time not thinking about being careful and took the stairs two at a time. The rope stood at the top of the stairs, I grabbed it, tied it around my waist and slide down the railing, tied the other end to the bottom of the railing and bolted for the corner. I felt a gust of wind and then I heard someone call my name. It was Mary. I was back in the house with a rope around my waist. We heard a door slam, a car start, and drive away. We ran outside, the door shut and we both ran off to THE HOUSE. The black cat was on my shoulder and we were inside before I knew it.

I didn’t think this time and the house stayed warm and no water touched it either. I grabbed Mary’s hand and shouted “Madam Mary!”

No one answered just a hand on my back and her breathing going down my back. I turned and she smiled.

“You called?”

“Yes, we need the rope?”

“You know I can’t get it so go get it yourself.”

Mary stood there somewhat puzzled. I ran up the stairs, two at a time, grabbed the rope, tied it around my waist and Mary’s and then the railing and gave my thanks to Madam Mary. Then I told Mary to run at the corner with me.

“What!? Are you insane?” she responded

“Just trust me,” I held my hand out, she grabbed and ran with me.

“Thanks!” I yelled.

Madam Mary smiled. We felt the gust of air. Mary and I didn’t stop running until we got outside, inside the car. Mary and I were still attached by the rope and her black cat sat on my lap purring. As it drove us off to our next adventure, I thought I saw Madam Mary smile and was as she disappeared with rain.

The Day of the Wolves

by Z.F.

Once upon a dark eerie night ghost wolves came to a specific tree. These wolves weren’t normal, there like vicious little devils. I once trudged outside into the woods to hunt for some deer, until I heard a cry of a wolf. My bones shivered as I walked towards the howl.

Later, after noon I walked upon leaves on a hill, and pondered about a deer lurking behind trees. I kneeled slowly and prepared for my target on the head and shot. The deer went down with one shot, then howling shouted in the air. Scolding barks became louder every minute.

I quickly ran to the shot deer and grasped the antlers and ran terrified over the field. Half way over the field I looked back and there the red beaming eyes of the pack of wolves on the edge of the forest. I startled and ran, but the wolves gained two inches every minute. Luckily I reached the door before they could take a single nip. Rushing I dropped the deer and closed all the windows. I dragged the deer to the basement and started my plane on how to get rid of the horrifying dream. Next morning everything was silent, but I couldn’t trust the wolves into tricking me.

I took a chance and went upstairs with a shovel. Everything was the same, so I checked the windows and the wolves were gone. I went outside and started digging a table wide whole around the house and stuck nails into the ground as I went. As soon as the sun started setting I used the buck’s antlers to use a distraction and then shot my gun into the vast sky.

After night after night they never came back, until two years later, someone was murdered in the same house that I lived In.

The Lost Child

“Help!! Help me please!!” As I stand in the middle of the dark, scary street. I pictured myself being alone forever, but I pictured myself with a loving, caring family.

People think I’m different and weird, but I’m not, I’m just scared. They see me everyday with ripped clothes and busted shoes. My name’s Jessica and I have a bad life that’s being crushed everyday with my mom’s words, feelings, and her hands. I have only one friend, God who only cares about me, no friends, not a lick of hope, and no future. Since my dad had died, I really had no life anymore because with him, I could do anything. I knew he would always be there to protect me. I love my daddy with all of my heart and I’ll always keep him there when I need him.

“ It’s like I’m a ghost, nobody sees me and if they do I’m just ugly or psychotic to them.’’

“ It’s ok, I’m here for you . You don’t ever have to worry because I’ll always be your friend forever. Just call my name.’’

“ Thanks, I’m not proud of my life because my mom has to put me  for no particular reason. It’s like I’m her punching bag because she just hits me. I  don’t know what to do.”

“ I will humble you so that way she won’t hit you.’’

That night when I got home, she hit me right in my face. She hit me so hard that I beated my walls until they were dark red.

“ I hate  her!!! Why does she have to do this to me?!!!” I cried till I fell asleep. I woke up at 1:00 on a Saturday. I got up, got dressed, ate, and then I just left without telling her where I was going. She looked at me crazy and said to herself “ Wait until she gets home……. I’m going to have something worse for her!’ I didn’t come home until 2:30 in the morning. So I snuck in my room by climbing in the window and just thought about life in general.  I just thought about having a real nice family who listens to you if you ever had problems. And I thought about my dad, wishing that he would ever come back to rescue me and take me into heaven and drift away in his arms.

“ God, I love my mama but she has got to stop hitting me in my face. I know I’m a pretty girl but I’m just tired and I just want to get out and escape from this crazy, psychopathic life. What should I do?”

“ Run with all of your strength. I know it will hurt but that’s the only way to get out. So when you go home and she hits you, you’d better run for your life.” So I just thought a minute. Could he be right? I wanted to take God’s advice and I did.

Waiting at the door, she decided to beat me. I couldn’t take it anymore so I pushed her down and ran for my life! She came after me with her car. So I hopped fences, cut through houses, and ran on people’s lawns so I could ditch her. I saw our car and I heard her scream my name and she just went home and gave up.  I just stood in the middle of the street and just cried waiting for somebody to come and get me.

I walked and sat on this girl’s house that I know from school and just hope she heard me. She took me to her parents to take me to the police.  There they said that my mom was in jail because she had warrants. They said they had a lovely, nice family waiting to take care of me. And so no more worrying about my mom hurting me and I just smiled and said “ Thank you …… you’re the best!”

My Dog, Pixie

by D.V.

One day I walked outside and saw the strangest footprints in the snow. Positive they weren’t human footprints, I walked towards them and imagined whose feet they belonged to. Since my curiosity beat me, I felt I had no choice but to follow them. “Mom, I’m going to take a walk around Mulberry Gardens!” I exclaimed.

“That’s fine Elizabeth! Just be home by six!” she replied after a couple seconds. Instantly I raced inside to get my magnifying glass as I tripped over my French book and landed in a pile of clothes. I got up and ran again. When I got outside I looked at the footprints curiously to see what they looked like though a magnifying glass. They looked the same but it was clearer there had been three circles under a bigger one. As I followed them and I got closer to these got closer to the big, green hedges. Laying there was something I’ve always wanted! It was a small, white, furry puppy with two black, beady eyes. My conscience was saying “Leave it! Leave it!” while my heart was saying “Take him! Take him!” Obviously my heart followed through and ignored my conscience. After passing through the gigantic cornflowers, I reached home. I ran to my room and put the little guy on my messy bed. I whispered, “What should I do with you?” I thought I heard something say “Keep me please!” What? I glanced at my dog with a confused look. I’m just tired I thought. My mom came into my room and said “awwwww” instead of “ahhhhh!” That surprised me but I kept my mouth zipped so I wouldn’t say anything unnecessary. “Can I keep her? PLEASE!” I asked excitedly. She took a minute to think what would happen if we kept him. “Please!”

“OK” she sighed. Yesssss! “I am going to name you Pixie!” I exclaimed! I scratched his belly for a while because he loves that, and drifted away to sleep.

The next day at school, my friend Jessica was talking about how she got cute new shoes. As I pretended to care, I told her about my puppy. She didn’t seem exited.

“Do you want to come over today?” Jessica asked me politely. “Umm… I guess its ok.” I mumbled hesitantly.

“KK! See you then!” she responded. I got home and left after my mom easily said I can go. Pixie looked at me sadly with his cute little beady eyes. I left with a frown, but came to a smile when I came to her house. We played a lot this week and even had a sleepover!

As I opened my door and walked inside, Pixie growled at me! He’s never done that before.

He actually said “I feel too left out! Spend time with me!” He just talked to me! I screamed! My mom came running into my room. She also screamed, ran downstairs, and called Pet Palace. “Nooo mom! I cried and held my dog.

The next day I was forced to go to school and by the time I got home I realized the tragedy! My dog was gone! I ran up to my room, sat on my bed and burst out crying. Soon enough my pillow resembled a soggy sandwich. My mom came up to my room and tried to calm me down.

“Honey, I know you are in pain but in two weeks you will forget him.” she stated in a calm voice. “No but mom!” I screamed. My mom understood when I started skipping meals and weeping.

My mom got a phone call and ran to my room. “Honey get in the car!” she said in a stern voice.

“Whats wrong mom?”I asked curiousley. She replied nothing and drove on. I knew where we came.Pet Palace stands in front of my face. As we rushed inside my mom asked for Pixie. He was five minutes away from surgery from his voice box. “Don’t you touch him you..you..YOU MEANIE!”I angriley yelled.

“Give him to us now!” my mom said more sternley than ever.

“Okkkk…mam.”he replied. He showed us to his room and I saw Pixie. “What have you done with him?” I frowned with tears on my eyes. I saw him breathing hard with wet spots under his eyes.I dislike it when he cries. We took him, went inside my car, and drove home.

He stayed with us for Christmas and so on.We are a happy family. Then I looked through my window, saw the footprints in the snow, and smiled.

Study Land  Is

Not the Place for Me!!!

 by Z.R.

“But dad it is Saturday”. Imagine your dad asking you to study for a math test on a Saturday night “unbelievable huh.”

You might think of me as the type of person that never thinks about anything….well maybe. This time I felt like I was going to be in room for a lifetime.

“I hate you” I shouted clearly across the room.

As I always did on a Saturday night I had plans with my cousins and friends.

Usually I study for my test…. Yeah right who am I kidding I never study for my test

So by that you maybe know that I don’t have really good grade in any of the school subjects.  “I feel crabby” I crooned to my mom as she was washing the dishes.  “Can I just study some other day, please?”  A wave of silence secured the room within second.

My mom said in a sweet but bothered voice” practice makes perfect.”  I felt as blue as an ocean but soon was over it. I unquestionably headed to my room.

As I pulled my diary out of its secret hiding place because you know how siblings can be getting there little noses in everything they can. So anyways I heard “Zitlahlly, are you studying yet” Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I’ve had it today” I said to my self.

“No mom I was getting to it.” And again I lied I’m still angry

The next day in school I learned a very valuable lesson always listens to your parent even when you don’t want to.

“JUST LIKE ME” Remember adults have been around longer than us and know what’s best for us by experience. And not to say adults are old there the best map that can show you the right way when you are lost!

The Nice Guy

by M.C.

“VRRROOOOOMMM”, SCREEEEZABREEEEEEE”, sounded the saw. He sliced everything in his path and anything that is cutable. People screaming loudly until silence came.

As a result The Chain Saw Massacre won the Bush sculpturing competition. People cheered for Massacre with excitement for him. He went back home and a bundle of beautiful roses bloomed. He lived in an enormous house in a small town in Texas in the middle of nowhere.

On the other hand a group of teenagers slept in the Massacre’s house thinking it’s been abandoned. Massacre screamed “Hi”, to the people in his house sleeping at the moment. The teenagers woke up silently and seen he carried a saw and he is a gruesome sight the teenager were terrified and felt scared. They beat Massacre up and made him cry. The next day he didn’t leave his house and the next day and the next day and all the other days in a week. People in the town started to worry.

Eventually one day a little girl went to visit him and she entered the house the house and saw a knife in Massacre’s hand. But Massacre is just cutting up carrots for his soup while he sang “Hit me Baby One More Time” by Brittney Spears. When he saw the little girl he thought of the teenagers making him cry so he started to chase the innocent girl. The little girl ran until she tripped and started to cry. Massacre stopped and hugged the girl and felt he betrayed being good to people. “Sorry”, exclaimed out Massacre to the little girl.

Therefore Massacre learned a lesson that don’t ever hurt humans ever again or you might feel their pain.

                                                  Christmas Chaos - B.J.

Slam! The car door shuts. “Ok Mom we’ll meet you back here at about three.”

He car drove away and Breanne and I walked into the Madison Mall. “Ok I have about …

Forty dollars with me,” I said while rummaging threw my back pocket.  It was two days before Christmas and my cousin Breanne and I needed to do some last minute shopping.

Even getting into the front door of the monstrous mall was a miracle.

“I can see the map sign just ahead” Breanne said. I rolled my eyes at the thought that she was 6 foot and I was about 5. “With out thinking I grabbed Breanne’s arm and pulled her out of the way of the mob of shoppers running down the hallway towards a new open store.  “Maybe we should just go home”, I said looking around in amazement.  Last year at the mall it was busy but not even close to compare to this. “No I think we can handle it just for a little while.

The two of use managed to brake threw the thick swarms of people and make our way down to the south end of the mall. There I spotted the Bergner’s and Macy’s departments.

“Hey was that the little truck that Dan was talking about? , Is said yelling over my shoulder remembering my petite cousin writing it down on a piece of paper and handing it to me hoping that we would remember it.

Suddenly, out of no were a shrill, shrieking noise came over the mall.  A loud voice came over the intercom saying, “CODE- RED – LOCK-DOWN!  This isn’t a drill! Find the nearest store to you and go in to ASAP! The doors will be shouting in 5 minutes. For about 5 seconds everything was silent then the chaos began again. My life flashed before my eyes. Breanne picked me up and told my to flail my legs to move the people out of the way. Breanne was strong and I wouldn’t want to be the one to get kicked in the face.

She plopped me down on the pink bed display. Then my phone, flew out of my pocket and crashed on the floor with a great thug. Breanne, again slid on the floor and snatched my phone and got out of the way just in time.  The doors of the stores shout and black sheets were draped over the heavy doors.

“Come on get up our parents are here to pick us up”, Breanne poked me with her long fingers. I stumbled out to the parking lot and climbed into the truck.  Slam! The car door shuts! Breanne and I walk into the busy Cramer home and were greeted at the door by barking dogs and questions.  My dad asked the mall manager, and the lock down was an accident. Just a janitor with a pipe that looked like a gun.

Christmas was spectacular until my Grandma burned the bread and the fire alarm went off.  Then the chaos began again.

OREGON VERSUS U.S.C    - C.T.

An All-American line backer played in 2017.This linebacker went to the University of Oregon as a senior. His name is Chris Ford. Every one at the campus called Chris “mustang”. They called him “mustang” because of his lightning speed and because his and his last name was ford.

Chris, the best linebacker in N.C.A.A., has only wanted to win the Heisman Trophy since he was little.

“This year Alex, I’m gonna win it.” I excitedly stated

“Sure you are…..” stated Alex laughing.

Alex, An All–American Running back as also a senior

“Hey when’s practice Alex???”

“It’s at 5:30, which is in 30 minutes.”

“Okay let’s go early to warm up.”

When we got there, there was brand-new equipment. There was brand new Helmet, new uniforms, new running exercises, and new tackling dummies.

Since we showed up first we tried on are jerseys. I picked number 54 for my jersey and Alex picked number 18 for his jersey.

“Hey, Coach where did we find all this new equipment? I blurted out

“The school found extra money and we could afford new equipment.” yelled coach exactly.

When practice started it was the offense versus the defense. Alex ran the play up the middle and I drilled him. The next play he repaid the favor by drilling me back.

After practice on Saturday night, the coach talked to Alex and I about how good we are and how much he needs us to play are hardest tomorrow against U.S.C. University.

“Today is the game of the year, U.S.C. Trojans versus Oregon Ducks.” yelled john madden about to pass out.

“What time is it?” Coach yelled.

“Game Time” We yelled back

“Who’s House?” Coach screamed

“Are House” We screamed back

As we ran onto the field Alex and I started at all the people were.

It was time for the coin toss. Alex and I ran onto the field.

“When I toss the coin say heads or tails okay” bellowed the referee.

He tossed the coin, the coin seemed like it flue in the air forever.

As it hits the ground Alex yells head.

Its heads!!!!!!!

“We’ll receive” stated Alex.

U.S.C. kicks the ball and it’s really high. Alex catches the ball and he runs right behind. I see a really fat guy running at me so I take out his legs by drilling him hard. Alex jukes and he’s gone!!!!

“YEAAAA” yelled the crowd

The game seemed to go by so fast because it was the fourth quarter and we have the ball. Jared number 4 throws an interception.

We have the ball and we need a turnover to win.

            “Hike” screamed the quarterback.

I Watch the quarterback eyes and he looking right at me.

I just realized there’s a receiver behind me. He throws it and I leap up and I tip it. The ball floats into my hands. As I ran back the quarter back dives at my legs. I jump over him.” He’s at the 50 the 40 the 30 the 20 the 10.”Exasperated stated John Madden.

A very fast wide receiver jumps on my back. I feel like I am going to fall over but I keep on going. I fall at the one yard line. I reach the ball out touchdown!!!!!

A month later Chris Ford was rewarded the Heisman trophy. His dream came true and so can yours.  “We’ll see you next time on football greatest moments.”

AUGUST 9TH - by D.C.

‘’Creep Jennifer look’’ that’s was just the blinds rubbing up against my grandmas window. Me and my cousin Jennifer just looked out the window and saw the back of a drunken guys head sitting on the back of our golf cart trailor sitting in my grandmas drive way. Once we saw that we were so scared we shut the window and locked it. Then like about minutes later we started hearing cracks from branches and people talking.

Right around 11:45 we went on the front porch to shut and lock the front door. When a guy walks across our front steps through our front lawn to the back of our house. Then me and Jennifer screamed out loud but tried not to wake my grandma. Our hearts were pounding so hard we were just scared and confessed. After that we turned out all the lights and shut and locked all the windows& doors. It was about 12:03 and we had called my dad and we had said, “Hello.” My dad answered saying, “Hello.” I replied saying, “dad we are so scared we don’t know what to do!’’ I screamed ‘’im sorry I have no idea what your talking about I gotta go love yea! Dad said ’’uh!!!’’ I yelled. We called my mom BUT she didn’t answer.

The very last thing that happened that night was someone stood in front of my Grandmas house and its like 12:30 in the morning a guy whistles like when a guy thinks a girl is hot loud and clear then start yelling cursing omg! After that we just shut out all the lights and held on to our lives in pitch black darkness.

Lloyd Takes a Stand - by B.R.

“Aaaaaw, why are you climbing me?!” Lloyd screamed.

“I am being chased by a giant black bear!” The young girl yelled back. She looked five or six but she weighed like one hundred pounds!

“So why is Jimmy chasing you?” Lloyd asked her.

“Who is Jimmy?” she asked back.

“Jimmy, is the giant black bear that is chasing you, now what did you do to anger him?” Lloyd asked again.

            “Well it all started when…”

            “When what?” he interrupted.

“Let’s go, come on, he is starting to scratch my bark!”

“Fine, I hit him with my slingshot, I was trying to earn my junior hunters badge.”

“Okay, well get off me before I let Jimmy eat you.” He threatened.

“Well I didn’t come all the way to the Tennessee Smokies just to get eaten by a giant black bear!” she screamed back.

“Get down here little girl, I need to teach you a lesson!” Jimmy yelled up intensively. At that moment, Lloyd felt very angry and annoyed. But then a thought came to him, that hunting was just part of the life cycle… and that he was just getting pretty annoyed with Jimmy always pushing him around.

“Come on Lloyd you moron, get her down here!” Jim said.

“There he goes again.” Lloyd thought.  Jimmy always picked on Lloyd in grade school at Johnny Appleseed Academy.  He called him moron and dufas and many more.

“I’m so sick of being picked on!” he screamed out loud.  So he took the girl in his powerful branches and set her down safely on the ground behind a big bush.  He then swooped down so that he was face-to-face with his childhood nightmare.

“What are you doing?!” Jimmy asked.

“What do you think I’m doing?” Lloyd asked.

            “I don’t know!” Jim said.

“I’m puttin’ you in hibernation!” Lloyd yelled out of frustration.  As soon as Jimmy figured out what that meant, it was off to the races.  But Lloyd was one step ahead of him, he just reached out and grabbed him.  Kicking and screaming Jimmy feared for his life.  But Lloyd had a better idea.

“I’ll make you a deal, you help out at the local zoo for six weeks and never harm any living thing ever again, and I won’t kill you.”

“Sounds good.” The terrified bear proclaimed.  So Lloyd let him go gently, and all was good.
