Background: As a transplant from Kansas by way of Vermont and Kentucky, I have "adjusted" to the flat-lands. I began teaching in 1976 after graduating from Kansas State University. Go Wildcats!
I began teaching in Wamego, Kansas. I also lived and taught in Vermont and Kentucky before ending up in Bloomington in 1981. In 1992 I received my Masters in Reading from ISU. After teaching fifth grade for 20+ years, I made the leap from the classroom to the Library Media Center at Irving.
Family: I have two grown children, Scott and Megan. Both are proud graduates of Bloomington High School. Megan was the first (and only, so far) female quad player for the Marching Raiders.
Aside from my family, my greatest passion is traveling to Alaska when ever I can. In March 1999, I was able to drive a team of sled dogs for 4 hours near Fairbanks, Alaska. I have a movie, but the noise from the dogs, the sound of the sled crushing over the ice, and my singing of "I did, I did, I did the Iditarod Trail" is too annoying.

Feast Experience: I attended the first Moveable Feast in Urbana back in the dark ages. My gray hair shows I'm a long-time trainer. I'm the one you ask when you need help and I will hook you up with someone who really can help you. My primary function as a trainer is arranging and participating in the weekly Feast Social, held (off-site) on Thursday of each Feast week.
Feast Expertise: None, really, I just like to have fun.
Seriously, I feel comfortable working with the following:
Office 2007 applications.
Outlook (I love what this application can do to organize your life)
OneNote
Scholastic Reading Counts
Web 2.0
Beginning Sharepoint
Beginning Sharepoint Designer
Beginning Google Tools
My advice for making the most of this week at the Feast:
Have fun. Do not be afraid to ask for help. Have fun. Start your diet next Monday. Have fun. Network with folks you do not know. Have fun.
