classroom polices

You will be given a workbook that goes along with the textbook.  Sections are checked periodically for on time completion and collected as a whole chapter for a grade.  Credit will be deducted for non-completion and non-timely completion.  Other assessments are tests (40%), quizzes (15%), home projects (15%), class activities (15%), labs (10%), and daily class participation (5%).  Late work is reduced by 50% of the points earned- not the value of the assignment.

Consistent communication is essential for a successful year. Please do not hesitate to contact me should  you have any concerns. You can reach me via email or by calling the main office, and I will return your call as soon as possible. I will post monthly newsletters, weekly emails through the 8J Team Google Group, and routine science word of the week calls on Thursdays.
