Amazing! You made it look easy. You could be a meteorologist when you grow up.
During this webunit, we have reviewed key weather terminology, utilized the same technology that weather scientists use everyday, and then put our brains to work sorting out all of the variables that influence the weather and then wrote your own made-for TV forecast. Whew!
The only thing you haven't done is tape your forecast for the TV land to enjoy. Follow the enrichment steps below to use the green screen technology with Mrs. McDonald, and tape your forecast.
Will your prediction be correct. The television viewers in your region are counting on you to have delivered the most accurate information possible. But one thing is certain about the weather - it's always unpredictable!
Enrichment Steps:
1. Every good TV weatherman reads his script from a teleprompter.
2. So you need to type your script.
3. Email Mrs. McDonald. In the email, type the following:
A. In the subject line, type "Weather script"
B. In the Message, type <Your name and your partner's name>
C. In the Message, type the hour you have science and time (example: 4th hour [10:35-11:20]).
D. In the Message, type your script.
4. Mrs. McDonald will reply and tell you what day you are scheduled to tape your forecast, and she will copy your script into the teleprompter.
5. Have fun!
